STROOM

Studio · Auckland, New Zealand

One person.
Twenty hours
a week.

Twenty hours is the entire capacity, and everything else on this site follows from it. The entry site is three or four pages at NZ$29.99 a month with no setup fee, because that is what twenty hours can build and then keep working. Work those hours cannot carry gets a no rather than a place in a queue.

Gerhard runs it. Nobody else does.

Dutch, based in Auckland, working as a stock controller at Bidfood and sitting the Certified Ethical Hacker syllabus. The direction is automation at the point where security meets AI.

That direction is visible in what has not been published. Four things are finished and none of them are public: two are held until a security check is done and two until permission is given. None were released early on the grounds that they looked finished.

Four limits, stated before you ask.

Twenty hours a week

The whole capacity, held by one person. There is no second developer to hand overflow to, so overflow is refused instead of absorbed.

Static at entry

Three or four pages, NZ$29.99 a month, three changes, no setup fee, no lock-in. Extra changes are NZ$5. Dynamic and Shop monthly figures are being set.

Extras billed on their own

Bookings, missed-call texts, after-hours answering, advertising and the rest sit beside the package. Each has its own setup and monthly figure on Services.

Support to the agreed scope

Care is defined when the work is accepted and it is what twenty hours a week can honour. Nobody is promised an on-call rota by a studio of one.

The caps exist for the client, not the studio. Twelve active subscribers is the year-one target because twelve is what twenty hours a week can answer properly — a studio that signs thirty is late to all thirty, and the newest client is the one who waits.

The plan, in figures.

Targets, not results. There are no subscribers yet and no revenue to report, and this page will say so until that changes.

  1. Year one · active subscribers

    12

Twelve is the number twenty hours a week can serve without the service quietly degrading. It is a target chosen for what it can carry, not for how it reads.

  2. Month six · base revenue, NZD thousands

    1.5–2.5

Recurring monthly, from subscriptions rather than one-off builds. A studio paid once has to keep selling; a studio paid monthly has to keep the site working.

Three things STROOM will not do.

Guarantee a ranking

Google runs that index and STROOM does not. Pages get built fast, structured and readable. Where they land is not something anyone outside Google can promise.

Guarantee an AI citation

A site can be made machine-readable — clean structure, real headings, stated facts. Whether an assistant then quotes it is the assistant’s decision, not a deliverable.

Take work it cannot support

Anything needing a team, an on-call rota, or a backend that twenty hours a week could not still be maintaining in month nine. That answer arrives before an invoice, not after.

Does it fit
inside twenty hours?

Say what the business does, who buys from it, and the one action the site has to create. If twenty hours a week cannot carry it, STROOM says so before anyone spends anything.
